Description : Purpose of the Role: This role is to lead the transformation of the Logistics and Customer operations in LAC providing a service of maturing the full logistics operations and acontributingto each market in the region. This will cover the complete Logistics and Customer taxonomy of Transport, Warehousing, import and export, (Customs) Logistics supplier management, Health & Safety Supplier performance management. The outcomes of are measured in Cost Efficiency, Service and Collaborative and value crafting relationships The Logistic Manager LAC, is responsible for operational completion in Logistics and Customer services and will be crucial to delivering daring growth targets for LAC and therefore Diageo. Key Accountabilities: Work with perfection lead to generate strategic projects to deliver step changes in COGS, service and flexibility across the supply chain. Drive and Implement Long term logistics capacity Strategies. Engage, lead and develop people in the logistics operations by releasing their potential. Develop ‘world class performance’ (for quality, safety, service and cost) and create opportunities for competitive advantage in the region. Drive a culture of continuous improvement. To drive and own key change and integration initiatives in transportation to deliver coordinated and efficient transport solutions across the transport network. Costings within budget and service provided to be within the planned financials of the Annual plan base Provide expert logistics input understanding Latin American dynamics to ensure credibility of market facing team Work with markets to reduce the carbon foot print in secondary logistics across LAC region. To influence internal and external collaborators from the Supply Chain to improve end to end processes as Logistics is at the chain and is responsible to deliver Diageo goods to our customers. Entry Level Requirements – Capabilities, Skills & Experience: Minimum 10 years’ experience as a logistics manager covering all taxonomies of Warehousing, Transport, Customs, Logistics Procurement and Customer (OTC) in a manufacturing company Minimum 2 years’ experience of Logistics in more than one Latin American country Demonstrable ability to engage and align collaborators behind plans and win support for implementing change within the organisation BSc or MSc or equivalent experience in a supply chain related subject Ability to lead in environments where influence is more important than formal authority Demonstrable knowledge of end to end supply chain and Customer collaboration Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written combined with the ability to engage effectively at all levels in the organisation An understanding of how leading technology can enable effective logistics operations Numerate and ability to apply KPI’s to drive performance management Excellence in Supply Chain: Upholds Standards – The role holder will be encouraged to embrace the MOVE Standards, apply them effectively in their role and adhere to them at all times.
