Job summary We're seeking a proactive, fast-learning, and highly accountable Application Specialist to join the team of one of our U.S.-based clients. This client provides critical support to patients in nursing facilities as they prepare and process long-term care Medicaid applications. This is not just a back-office role — it's a high-impact, people-focused position where your ability to balance attention to detail with empathy and professional communication will make all the difference. You will often engage with families in sensitive or emotional circumstances, requiring patience, compassion, and clarity. As an Application Specialist, you will: - Work directly with patients, families, nursing facility staff, and state Medicaid offices to collect, organize, and track sensitive documentation. - Communicate daily via phone calls and Zoom meetings, handling delicate and emotional situations with empathy and professionalism. - Coordinate with Medicaid planners and attorneys to ensure timely and accurate application submissions. - Serve as a reliable point of accountability — following through on tasks, updates, and deadlines consistently. - Continuously look for ways to improve processes and workflows, contributing ideas that enhance efficiency and client experience. Key Responsibilities - Assist patients and families in completing Medicaid applications. - Collect and organize financial/legal documents (bank statements, tax returns, etc.). - Communicate with care facilities and Medicaid office staff. - Track application progress and maintain accurate records. - Ensure confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance in all case handling. - Provide regular updates to U.S.-based legal and Medicaid planning teams. Required Qualifications - Exceptional English fluency (C1+), both spoken and written, with a clear, neutral accent. - Strong communication skills: confident making daily phone calls, empathetic in sensitive conversations, and professional in handling difficult situations. - Proactive, accountable, and fast learner: able to take ownership, adapt quickly, and work with minimal supervision. - Detail-oriented and organized: comfortable handling financial/legal documents with precision. - Prior experience with U.S.-based clients via phone, Zoom, or email. - Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Excel, PDF tools, and case tracking systems. - Background in healthcare, finance, immigration, or legal back office is a strong plus. - Familiarity with U.S.-style documentation (mortgages, visa petitions, tax returns, etc.) is highly preferred.
