A Culinary Food Technologist exhibits proven solution design ability with an aptitude to continuously develop their skills and provide best-in-class support to IFF clients. They continue to extend knowledge of ingredients, customer bases, processes, and flavor interactions in associated Category applications while developing project planning ability. A Culinary Food Technologist works independently on assigned projects and collaboratively on large and must-win projects, depending on business needs. Where You’ll Make a Difference Develops finished product formulations using IFF technologies, meeting industrial standards, legal, cost, and stability requirements. Leads successful projects for local, strategic, and regional clients, applying Product Experience (PX) data when needed. Demonstrates strong knowledge of ingredient portfolios and production processes, refining sensory attributes in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Maintains and updates recipe database while continuously expanding expertise in product design and material innovation. Coordinates scale-up trials with Production and Quality teams, understanding creative processes, cost impact, and development constraints. Collaborates with key departments, shares knowledge, and mentors Trainee/Associate Designers. What Makes You the Right Fit Minimum entry level is a University/College Degree in Food Science and Technology or related disciplines (such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Human Nutrition). Preferred Master’s Degree in a related area. Minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial food, pharmaceutical, ingredient, or flavor industry, with at least 2 years in the specific field of expertise.
